Alan Nash - Director

Having launched ACE in 2005 Alan has extensive experience in every aspect of lettings, sales and property management. Alan handles new business, sales and property development projects whilst overseeing the day to day running of the business. He is focused on growing the business by ensuring a reliable service. He communicates regularly with tenants and landlords alike developing relationships making ACE Property one of the most highly rated agencies in Edinburgh.

A keen sportsman, Alan enjoys tennis, golf and running whenever possible, with a young and growing family. Rugby is however where his passion lies. A former Watsonians FC Captain and Scottish age grade player, Alan is never far from the touchline. Alan also enjoys travelling, watersports, socialising with friends and long walks with his dog Cooper.

Ian Gray - Head of Estate Agency

Due to the continued growth of ACE Property we are delighted that Ian has agreed to move from the position of Sales Consultant to Head of Sales and Operations Director in a full time position. 

Former head of sales at a top ten Scottish law firm with over 30 years’ experience in the Edinburgh residential property market, Ian will be coming on board as a Property Sales Consultant and will develop our sales department, taking the lead on new sales instructions and ongoing client relations. We expect to see rapid growth, building on the considerable success since the launch.

Ian’s role as Operations Director will include responsibility for governance, customer service and client satisfaction, regulatory requirements, process management, people and service delivery in order to deliver an outstanding service to our clients whilst simultaneously delivering on the strategic plans and long-term forecasts of the business.

Stuart Johnston -Director

Stuart has a Bsc (Economics & Accounting) from Edinburgh University and took further professional qualifications in becoming a qualified company secretary (ACIS). He worked as a Company Secretary in the financial services industry before forming ACE Property with Alan in November 2005.

Stuart has built up his own private portfolio over the years, and has considerable experience in managing properties. However Stuart specialises in the accounts and legal side of the business, looking after all the accounting, financial and regulatory issues related to the day to day running of the business.

Stuart enjoys all sports, particularly rugby, he loves to travel and keep fit, The daily morning bacon rolls don't help, however!

Michelle Dakers – Office Manager

Michelle is in her seventh year with ACE, having started her career in Property Management working for an estate agency in Edinburgh. Having progressed through the various aspects of that business, she switched careers into Financial Services working for one of Edinburgh’s larger insurance companies.

Some years later, following the acquisition of one husband, two children and a career break, Michelle re-entered the Property Management industry, managing the office of a regional RE/MAX franchise where she was responsible for managing the day to day business and which soon became three offices.

On joining ACE, Michelle looked after all new tenant applications & lease signings; however following expansion of the business Michelle’s main role now is assisting with the financial side of the business supporting Stuart. Michelle is also responsible for the Tenancy Deposit Scheme, Landlord Registration and processing new business.

In her spare time Michelle enjoys participating in zumba classes, socialising with friends and following her husband and daughters in their sporting pursuits.

Wendy Mackay – Property Manager

Wendy has worked in the property industry for 14 years. She gets great satisfaction from her role as no two days are the same and she enjoys a challenge. Wendy is vastly experienced in dealing with day to day maintenance, rentals, and refurbishments, whilst also specialising in Insurance work, factoring and HMO regulations.

Wendy is a hands on type of person and ensures that she sees any repair job to completion and strongly believes that good communication is a key factor in keeping our landlord and tenants happy.

Wendy enjoys going to the gym, holidays and eating out with family and friends.
